About Ross
I’m a photographer, film director, and actor based in Austin.
I’ve spent years working on both sides of the camera. From directing films to performing on set. This gives me a different approach to headshots. Instead of focusing on poses, I focus on performance, presence, and subtle direction. these are the things that actually show up on camera and get you booked for roles or land your client’s trust.
My goal is simple: help you look natural, confident, and like yourself on your best day.
Whether you’re an actor building your reel or a professional updating your image, I guide you through the process so you’re not guessing what to do in front of the camera.
Background
I got my start in the performing arts after graduating from The Sheffield Institute of Recording Arts in 2007, and have worked across filmmaking, photography, and on-camera performance ever since.
My work as a filmmaker includes short films that have been recognized at festivals such as San Diego Film Week and the San Diego Film Awards, with nominations for Best Horror Short and Best Lead Actress. My recent projects include The Interview and Iron Beds, both currently entering the festival circuit.
I’ve also been recognized as an award-winning photographer through Panasonic/Lumix.
Why It Matters for Your Headshots
Most people aren’t comfortable in front of a camera.
That’s where I come in.
I’ll guide you through subtle adjustments in expression, energy, and intention so your headshots feel real and not forced or overly posed.
The result is a set of images that not only look good, but feel like you.
Let’s Work Together
If you’re ready to update your headshots or create something stronger for casting, I’d love to work with you.
